1. Why should I use Skyhigh Siding & Roofing?

We’re licensed by the State of Florida (license #CC(1327040), so you know the work will be done right. We’re a local Florida company, and we are here to stay. And you’ll get your roof done faster with us, because we can obtain materials quicker than most other companies. Plus, we deal directly with your insurance company, so you don’t have to deal with that headache.

2. If I sign with you, and the insurance company doesn’t approve the work, then will I have to pay you out of my own pocket?

No. Our contract says that everything is contingent upon approval by your insurance company. So if the insurance company doesn’t approve it, then we will not be doing the work. So you aren’t obligated to pay for anything in that case.

3. What is a scope of loss?

The scope of loss is an itemized breakdown of the costs to replace your roof. The scope of loss comes from your insurance company, and it details the total amount that they are willing to pay for your roof and interior. Keep in mind that even if you already have a scope of loss from your insurer, in many cases we can get it revised to get you more money to make sure your repairs are done right.

4. How much will it cost?

The insurance company sets the prices, and we work according to their scope of loss. The only cost to you is your deductible.

5. Will you obtain all of the necessary permits?

Yes. We will obtain all necessary permits. All work will be done according to the current building code and standards, and must pass building inspection when the job is complete.

6. What is replicated tile?

Some companies will attempt to replicate the tile that is currently on your roof. Do not be fooled into trying to use this material! These products do not come from the original manufacturer, and they are not approved by your county or municipality. You will not be able to obtain a permit.

7. Do I have to be at home when you install the roof?

No. It is very noisy, so we recommend that you not be at home when we do the installation, if at all possible.

8. What happens if it rains while you’re installing my roof?

We watch the weather very closely. We only tear off sections at a time and then reroof. We never tear off with a chance of rain in the forecast. When we leave at night, your roof is completely water tight.

9. Will a dark-colored roof make my air conditioning bills higher?

No. The color of your roof will not affect the heat transfer inside your home.
